MY OPINION ABOUT MALE CHAUVINISM
In that film, the cat on a hot tin roof, we can see lots of scenes where the men has some machist attitudes with his wife. That film was recorded in 1958 and there were attitudes that nowadays, 60 years later, continue happening and worse than in the movie.
From my point of view, we have progressed in some aspects, but in others we have gotten worse. For example, the women has gotten the omission of a part of the inequality between genders, nevertheless, the men´s murders to his partner or ex-partner has increased. If we analyze in general, there are some occasions in which I think that we have moved back instead of advacing. Rhe fight for the equality must continue to eliminate completely this inequality and consequently the mistreament not only from the man to the women, because there are some cases that it produces upside-down.
To conclude, I want to say that the film makes think about the big problem that we have. Everyday we listen in the news that there has been a murder, a violation or something similar. This is what it isn´t possible to permit and for what it is necesssary to fight.
